What is the engagement process with Talent500?
Regardless of whether you have an existing team or are hiring through Talent500, you enter into a Master Services Agreement with Talent500 as a one-time exercise and local Annexures for each geography that you want to hire in. Once the MSA is in place, each existing or new hire can be onboarded almost instantly with custom offer letters and standard employment agreements.
What does it mean when you say that 100% management control resides with the company?
As an employer or a hiring manager, you maintain the decision-making authority over all important decisions, such as compensation, appraisals, performance feedback, and termination clauses (subject to statutory requirements in respective countries). As your local HR partner and legal employer of record, Talent500 follows through on these decisions as needed.

What are the risks of engaging and paying my remote full-time colleagues directly as independent contractors?
Although hiring remote workers as contractors is quick and simple, it may not be the best choice for the following reasons.
- You may run into major compliance risks in your country of incorporation and the country of your remote colleague. When you recruit folks effectively working as full-time colleagues, you may run the risk of misclassification under 1099 or equivalent contractor labels.
- IP + Confidentiality Protection.Your contracts are direct with the worker and much more difficult to enforce (legally and practically).
- y definition, independent contractor contracts cannot include exclusivity agreements. So, you may not know if your new hires are working on other projects while simultaneously working full-time for your company.
How is Talent500 different from a PEO or EOR?
A PEO (Professional Employment Organization) is an outsourced HR services provider. It’s a reasonable all-in-one solution, but you will need a legal entity in the country where your remote team is based. You are a co-employer of your remote workers in most PEO arrangements.
An EOR (Employer of Record) is a service that allows you to legally employ your remote workers via a third-party legal entity. While you don\’t have to set up a legal entity to use the EOR model, you do have limited control over things like benefits, contact in offer letters, and even dealing with your remote employees’ local taxes and payroll questions.
These terms are sometimes used interchangeably. Some PEOs do not require you to establish a new local legal body, while some EORs give you a lot more power over hiring and benefits decisions.
